Everything that we have done, especially in the last 3-4 months has gone a lot fast than we expected, so why did I expect selling a car would take a long time, I really don't know.
It snowed last week, here in Kansas then became very cold so we were unable to wash David's car and clean it out to prepare to sell it. We also needed a car since my car is in Lovington, NM with some amazing friends, so we were trying to wait as long as possible to sell David's car. On Saturday, the weather was good enough and I do not mean great by any means!! But it was good enough to wash and clean out the car. David took pictures and before he posted it on craigslist he said a little prayer and asked God to help him sell it fast. With in 15 minutes of it being online, he had 2 emails wanting to see the car, with in a hour he had 2 people on their way to see the car and several more verbal offers that if they like the car they would buy it that day. Then after 3 people had driven the car and made offers, he sold the car for our asking price. The total amount of time it took for him to sell the car was 4 hours. I am pretty sure that is a record. With the money we got for the car, we will be able to pay off my car. Which will be so nice to have extra money in our pocket each month. God definitely has a funny way of showing you just how big and in control He is. Through this entire process, God has completely taken us by surprise and blown us away.
As of today we, now have 7 days until we will be in South Korea. It is crazy to think that we will actually be living in another country and it all part of Gods plan for our lives. Several people have asked us if we were nervous or anxious and the answer is no. We are excited but we are not nervous. We are both ready for this adventure and know that it is God's will. I think we are both just ready to be there. Don't get me wrong we are glad to be in Kansas and have the opportunity to work at crosspoint ministries. But we are ready for the next step in our lives.
We would appreciate continued prayers this week, as we fly to SK and begin our big escapade!
Much Love,
David and Lisa
